The 1836 now is one of the highest priced restaurants in Huntsville, so it is ideal for those special occasions. Their food is quite good, and much of is German like the sausage, etc. Their lunches range from $9-12, which is still a little high. I just would not come here very often, but those who know me might say i'm a cheap skate. I accept this title but I might also say I am a bargain buyer. If I want to spend a ton of money on something like this or The Homestead, I really expect it to be a 5-star restaurant. Which, sadly, to me anyway, 1836 is not.
